Frequently asked questions
Answers to what we hear most often: about the model, who it's for, connecting, pricing and secure access.
General
Questions we often get.
01What is workforce intelligence?
Workforce intelligence means running your whole organisation on numbers that add up. Dashly connects your ATS, scheduling, payroll, accounting and CRM and runs everything through the Workforce Intelligence Model. So you see not just what happened, but also why, and what to do about it.
02Who is Dashly for?
For flex workforce (temporary staffing with shifts, payrolling, flex pools), permanent workforce (recruitment and selection, secondment), recruitment and HR departments of larger organisations, and recruitment marketing agencies. The model is the same for everyone; the core, the names of the layers and the steering questions differ per target group. Back-office service providers and recruitment partners can also steer on it.
03Why not just use Claude or ChatGPT on my systems?
Because then your AI doesn't know which client, candidate or employee is the same one across several systems, which definition you use, or whether last week's export is still correct. The answer sounds convincing, but it's different every time, and personal data ends up in a stray chat. With Dashly underneath, your own AI works via MCP with today's data, with the same formulas as your dashboards and only with what it's allowed to see.
04How is this different from the reports in my ATS or a BI tool?
Each of those looks from its own angle. Dashly puts ATS, scheduling, payroll, CRM and accounting side by side in one model, with fixed definitions and a steering model that shows where you need to step in. Your tools can stay.
05Do we have to take everything at once?
No. You pay per connection and choose one package for your whole environment: Connect, Data, Knowledge or Dashboard. Each package includes the previous one, so you can start small and always take a step further.
06How long does it take before we're live?
That depends on the number of systems and the state of your data. We work in four steps: connect, model, validate and live. Only when the numbers match your own figures do we go live. The licence starts as soon as the data is in the platform.
07Do we need our own data team?
No. Dashly AGI, our digital colleagues, connects, sets up the model and checks it. You provide what only you know, such as your definitions and agreements, and sign off each step. If you want a data manager to think along with you, that's possible with Dashly Expertise.
08What does Dashly cost?
You pay per connection per month, not per user. The more you let Dashly do, from your data in one place to dashboards per team, the higher the package. Ad channels have a lower price tier. The amounts are on the pricing page.
01We do both temporary staffing and recruitment and selection. Where do we fit?
The core starts where most of your revenue comes from: for flex, the balance in hours and shifts; for permanent, in vacancies and candidates. The model is the same for both, with the same clients and the same accounting underneath. In a demo, we work out together where you start.
02Does Dashly also work for an in-house recruitment department, without a staffing agency?
Yes, that is what the corporate and enterprise audience is for. There is no client and no margin per hour. Demand comes from your own departments, and you steer on headcount plan, time to hire and cost per hire against budget.
03Is the model different per audience?
No. The model is the same for everyone. What differs per audience is the balance, the weight of the layers, the wording and the order in which we build.
04We run campaigns for employers. Can we also see what happens after the application?
Yes, if your client's ATS is connected. Dashly Collect measures the clicks and applications from your campaigns and links them to the candidate and the placement at your client. So you see, per channel, which campaign leads to a placement, not just to an application.
05We run the back office for several staffing agencies. Do we have to start again for each client?
No. We set up one finance and back-office template and roll it out to each client environment. Per client, you see the exceptions, such as hours that were payrolled but not invoiced.
01What's the difference between workforce intelligence and the reports in my ATS?
A report in your ATS shows what happened in that one system. Workforce intelligence puts ATS, scheduling, payroll, accounting and CRM side by side in one model with fixed formulas. So you also see why something happened, and what to do about it.
02Which systems do I need to connect?
That depends on the module. Margin intelligence needs payroll, accounting and scheduling. Recruitment intelligence needs your ATS, scheduling and advertising channels. You pay per connection, not per module. A system you connect once counts for every module that needs it.
03Can I start with one module?
Yes. You start with the question that pays off most right now. The model has a fixed build order for each type of organisation. Because all modules sit on the same foundation, the others can be added later without starting over.
04Does the model also work for a corporate recruitment department or an agency?
The model is the same for every organisation. The core, the weight of the layers, the terms, metrics and levers differ by audience. In a corporate, your clients are your departments and you steer on staff costs against budget. In a recruitment marketing agency, you steer on clients' hire targets and margin per client after media spend.
05Can I trust my AI's answer?
From Knowledge onwards your AI works via MCP on the same model and the same formulas as your dashboards. It only sees what you're allowed to see. Every answer can be traced back to formula and source.
06Why are some modules not available yet?
We're building Market and Compliance intelligence now. Market intelligence needs outside sources, such as open data and vacancy data. Compliance intelligence flags risks in your own data and isn't legal advice. Want to be among the first to use them? Tell us in a demo.
01Do I have to replace my current systems?
No. Your ATS, scheduling, payroll, CRM and accounting stay as they are. Dashly sits underneath, connects what you already have and runs the numbers.
02Which layer do I need?
That depends on what you want to do yourself. If you have an analyst who builds things themselves, Connect or Data is often enough. If you want to steer on the model without doing the calculations yourself, choose Knowledge or Dashboard.
03Can I use my own AI?
Yes, on every layer. With Dashly Access, Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or your own agents work via MCP on your data. From Knowledge onwards they calculate with the same fixed formulas as your dashboards.
04What if my system isn't on the list yet?
We can connect anything with an API or a server-to-server connection. If your system isn't on the list yet, you request the connection.
05Who keeps it accurate?
Dashly AGI, our digital colleagues, with a data manager if you want one. If something is missing or doesn't match, we flag it instead of guessing.
01Is the model the same for every organisation?
The structure is: margin at the core, the balance between demand and supply and the layers around it. The core, the weight of the layers and the terminology differ per type of organisation. Your definitions, such as what counts as a filled shift or placement, are set up for your organisation.
02What's the difference between available and deployable?
Available is who can work. Deployable is who is also suitable for the demand and placement-ready, for example with a valid certificate and a signed contract. Only deployable supply counts in the balance.
03Why does revenue in Dashly differ from my accounting?
Because revenue can fall at three moments: when the work is done, when it is invoiced and when it is booked. For each KPI we agree with you which moment counts. We put the numbers next to your accounting and explain the difference.
04How many metrics does the model have?
For flex about 330 metrics and over 100 levers; for permanent, corporate and agency slightly fewer. That's the library. Which ones you use first depends on your type of organisation and your systems.
05Can my own AI use the model?
Yes. Via Dashly Access your AI calculates with the same formulas as your dashboards, and every answer can be traced back to the formula and the source.
01Which systems does Dashly connect with?
With your ATS (such as Carerix, Otys and Recruitnow), staffing and scheduling software (such as Easyflex, Mysolution, XPS and Flexwell), HR and payroll (such as AFAS, Visma Nmbrs and Loket.nl), accounting (such as Exact Online and Twinfield), CRM (such as HubSpot and Salesforce) and ad channels (such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Indeed). The full list is on this page.
02Do I have to switch from my current systems?
No. Your systems stay as they are; Dashly sits underneath. Your ATS, your scheduling and your accounting stay in place, and Dashly brings them together in one model.
03Who sets up the connections?
Dashly AGI: digital colleagues that connect, model and check. You answer what only you know and sign off each step. If you want a data manager as well, that's possible with Dashly Expertise.
04What does a connection cost?
You pay per connection per month, not per user. Ad channels have a lower price tier. Setup by Dashly AGI is included. The amounts are on the pricing page.
01Why do I pay per connection?
A connection is one system that we connect, monitor and feed into the model, such as your ATS, your payroll or your accounting. More systems means more work and more insight; that's why the price grows with what you connect. Ad channels have a lower price tier.
02Do I pay per user?
No. You pay per connection, not per user. Your whole team can steer on the same numbers without the price going up per person.
03Do I choose a package per connection?
No. You choose one package for your whole environment, so all systems are calculated in the same way. Each package includes everything in the one before it, and you can always take a step further.
04What does setup cost?
Nothing extra. Dashly AGI connects, sets up the model and checks the numbers; that's part of every package. Only if you want a data manager who thinks along or works with you do you pay for the hours you use.
05When does the licence start?
As soon as the data is in the platform. Until then, you pay nothing for the connections.
06Does my own AI work with every package?
Yes. You connect Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or your own agents via MCP on every package. On Connect your AI works with the raw sources, on Data with linked data and from Knowledge onwards with fixed definitions.
01Where is my data stored?
In a dedicated, isolated Google Cloud environment per customer. Your data isn't stored together with that of other customers.
02Does my AI see personal data?
No. Personal data doesn't belong in a standalone chat. Your AI calculates with hours, placements and margin, and you decide per user and per agent, down to row level, what it sees.
03Can I decide per employee what they see?
Yes. Permissions go down to row level. A planner sees their own region, a recruiter only recruitment, management everything.
04Is there a data processing agreement?
Yes. A data processing agreement (DPA) comes as standard with your contract.
05Can I see what happened afterwards?
Yes. Every question and every action is logged: who did it, when, on which data and who approved it.
