FormulaMargin per client = revenue − direct costs per client

It shows which clients really pay off.

Why it matters

Large clients are not always the best ones. Margin per client shows who pays for your growth and where you need to renegotiate or scale down. Calculated over the whole relationship, it is called customer lifetime value.

Where it goes wrong

One client often appears under different names or project codes in your systems. Then the margin gets scattered or counted twice. Only when every shift or placement is linked to an order, and every invoice line to a project number, is this metric right without manual work.

How Dashly calculates it

Dashly merges each client into one record across CRM, scheduling, payroll and accounting, and calculates the margin per month. Key coverage shows how complete that link is.
