FormulaMargin per placement = margin of a placed employee per month and over the term

To compare channels and recruiters quickly, the recruitment layer of the model looks at the margin of a placement in its first 13 weeks.

It is the outcome metric in secondment and recruitment and selection.

Why it matters

With long-term placements you earn over months, not per shift. Margin per placement shows which recruiters, clients and channels deliver placements that are worth something, not just many placements.

Where it goes wrong

The placement sits in the ATS, the hours in the back office and the costs in payroll. Without a fixed link between candidate, placement and employee, you calculate with loose pieces. And in the counts, a placement that stops after two weeks weighs as much as one that runs for a year.

How Dashly calculates it

Dashly follows the supply key from candidate through placement and employee to time entry and payslip, and calculates the margin per month from ATS, payroll and accounting. In recruitment and selection, the fee counts too, on the agreed revenue date.
