You record that once per KPI.

Three moments

Work date: the period in which the work was done. Invoice date: the period in which it was invoiced. Booking date: the period in which revenue or costs were recognised. None of the three is wrong; each answers a different question.

An example

An employee works in September, and the hours are invoiced in October. On the work date, hours and operational revenue fall in September; on the invoice date, in October. Accounting can allocate it differently again because of work in progress or period postings.

How Dashly records it

By default, Dashly calculates operational revenue, margin per hour and worked hours on the work date, invoiced revenue on the invoice date and booked revenue on the booking date. Per KPI we decide together with you which moment counts, record it and validate it.
